Some couples make you feel their love the moment you meet them. Lauren and Brima are exactly that kind of people — warm, open, and genuinely beautiful together. From the very first conversation, I knew their wedding day was going to be something special.

The Venue

Kelham House Country Manor in Newark, Nottinghamshire, was a first for me — and it absolutely did not disappoint. Impeccably maintained, with that timeless English country elegance that simply cannot be replicated. The staff were exceptional, led by their wonderfully attentive venue manager — who, by a lovely coincidence, shared her name with our bride. Two Laurens, one perfect day.

Getting Ready

The morning began with that quiet, anticipatory energy that I love so much about wedding days. Lauren's gown — a sleek, minimalist satin dress with a long elegant train and a soft floating veil — was breathtaking in its simplicity. In the bridal suite, with its bay windows and soft natural light pouring in, she looked like something out of a film. Her hair and makeup were flawless, and the whole look came together effortlessly.

Meanwhile, Brima and his groomsmen were equally focused — the energy in the room was a mix of nerves, laughter, and the kind of brotherly excitement that only happens on a wedding morning.

The Moment That Stopped Time

There are moments in every wedding that stay with you long after the day is over. For Lauren and Brima's wedding, two moments stood out above everything else.

The first was when Lauren's father saw his daughter for the first time, fully dressed as a bride. There are no words adequate enough for that moment. It was raw, unguarded, and completely real — the kind of emotion that reminds you why this work matters.
